Terms and Conditions

1. References in these conditions to SAMSS are references to Stroud & Moore Solar Solutions Ltd whose registered office is at Headley Dunk Chartered Accountants, Trinity House, 3 Bull Lane, Dartford Kent DA1 1BB.
2. References to the customer are references to whom the quotation is addressed and will be referred to as you/your.
3. The quotation is subject to availability of equipment or other materials
4. Reasonable access to the premises for SAMSS and their sub-contractors is required in order that the installation may be undertaken.
5. If you require work to be carried out outside normal working hours SAMSS may make a reasonable additional charge.
6. The price or prices quoted are fixed for acceptance for 90 days from the date of quotation
7. Initial Deposit of 10% and intermediate deposit of 40% will be held in a separate account. The Final balance is due immediately after the system has been commissioned.
8. In the unlikely event that SAMSS have to cancel the scheduled date for installation (i.e. Weather conditions), an alternative date will be arranged at the earliest convenience to the customer.
9. SAMSS will make every reasonable effort to start and complete the work as agreed but cannot accept liability for delays beyond our control (e.g. weather conditions preventing safe working conditions) or for any costs incurred by you because of such delays.
10. There is a 7 working day cooling off period starting from the date of the signed acceptance of the quotation during which the customer has the right to cancel the order without penalty. In these circumstances the deposit will be refunded within 14 working days. If a contract is cancelled after 7 working days, we will return the balance of the deposit after deducting our reasonable costs, including administrative costs from the deposit amount.
11. Once the signed acceptance of the quotation has been made this document will form a legally binding contract between SAMSS and the customer.
12. The performance of the solar PV system is impossible to predict with certainty due to the variability in the amount of solar radiation (sunlight) from location and from year to year.  This estimate is based upon the Governments standard assessment procedure for energy rating of buildings (SAP) and is given as guidance only.  It should not be taken as a guarantee of performance.
13. SAMSS will endeavour to consult with the customer about the design of the installation and provide the quotation to the customers accordingly.
14. SAMSS reserves the right, subject to technical survey, to withdraw from the contract.
15. The customer fully accepts responsibility for notification of works to building control. If required, you should ensure that any necessary permissions (such as planning) will be in place before the work commences on site.
16. The quotation includes for the supply and installation of all the quality components and materials required to carry out the work specified, and includes VAT at the current rate unless expressly stated otherwise.
17. Unless stated otherwise, the Quotation does include scaffolding when safe access is not available from a ladder but does not include for the removal of asbestos or other dangerous materials.
18. Our liability is restricted to only the workmanship of SAMSS employees or sub-contractors and materials and appliances installed by SAMSS. No liability can be accepted for the contingent losses caused by disturbance of existing.
19. SAMSS cannot be held responsible for any loss in Feed In Tariff payments due to administrative delays.
